About Pyne & Eid
A tailoring house built on craft, modern design and quiet precision — established in 2007, now based in Nelson, New Zealand.
OUR STORY
PYNE & EID was established in Sydney in 2007 with a simple belief: clothing should be made with intention, worn with ease, and built to endure.
We create bespoke garments and one-of-one commissions for clients who value discretion, precise fit, and considered personal service.
Over time, many clients build a refined wardrobe piece by piece — fewer garments, chosen carefully, tailored precisely, and returned to season after season.
Natural Luxury, Precisely Tailored
True luxury doesn’t announce itself. It is felt in the balance of a jacket, the clean line of a shoulder, the way a trouser falls, and the comfort of a garment that moves naturally with the body.
Our process is deliberate and unhurried. We listen closely, guide clients through cloth and silhouette with confidence, and refine through fittings until the garment sits as it should — effortless, considered, and unmistakably personal.
Meet Sam Eid
PYNE & EID is led by master tailor Sam Eid — a graduate of the Whitehouse Institute of Design, Sydney, trained under master European tailors, with a practice shaped by years of specialist work and an exacting eye for proportion.
Each garment is personally designed, fitted and hand-tailored by Sam, ensuring consistency of line, balance and fit.
His background combines traditional craft with a contemporary design sensibility. The result is tailoring that feels modern and personal while remaining grounded in technical precision and meticulous finishing.
Our Atelier
Our atelier is based in Nelson, New Zealand. For clients in other centres, we offer scheduled visiting appointments in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Clients across New Zealand can commission bespoke work through these private appointments, with the same considered and personal process.
Whether you visit the Nelson atelier or meet during a visiting appointment window, the experience remains consistent: clear direction, careful fitting, and refined craftsmanship.
