Pyne & Eid is led by experienced, design-qualified master tailors. Established in Sydney in 2007 and based in Nelson, New Zealand since 2019.
We create bespoke garments for clients across New Zealand through our Nelson workroom and regular private appointments in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
The Bespoke Process
1. Consultation & cloth selection
We begin with a focused conversation about your wardrobe, lifestyle, fit preferences, and the occasion. From there, we select the cloth and refine key design details.
2. Pattern drafted to you
Your individual pattern is drafted from your measurements and posture, then prepared for your first fitting.
3. Three fittings & refinement
Across three fittings, we refine balance, clean lines, comfort, and proportion — adjusting the pattern until the garment sits naturally and feels effortless.
4. Delivery & future commissions
Your pattern is kept on file, making it easy to commission future pieces and build a cohesive wardrobe over time.

At PYNE & EID, each garment is individually commissioned and crafted through an unhurried process guided by experience, precision and care. Pricing reflects the time, skill and craftsmanship involved in creating a piece that is uniquely yours.
Suits
From $3,500 NZD
Bespoke suits cut from a personal pattern and shaped entirely to your proportions. Constructed using traditional tailoring methods, with optional hand-finishing throughout — including hand-padded lapels, hand-attached collars, and fully hand-shaped shoulders for natural balance and refined structure.
Jackets
From $2,400 NZD
Bespoke jackets cut from a personal pattern and shaped to your proportions. Each piece is constructed using traditional tailoring methods to achieve clean lines, natural structure, and ease of movement.
Hand-finishing options include hand-padded lapels, hand-attached collars, and carefully shaped shoulders. Sleeve insertion, internal structure, and balance are refined through hand basting to ensure a natural silhouette
Trousers

Bespoke trousers cut precisely to your measurements for balance, comfort, and a clean silhouette. Careful attention is given to rise, seat, and leg proportion to ensure the garment sits naturally on the body.

Outerwear, knitwear and special commissions are quoted individually. Every commission includes private consultation, pattern creation and multiple fittings, with your pattern retained for future garments. We invite you to book a private appointment to begin. We also advise on seasonality, drape and long-term wear.
Fabric
We work with a curated selection of some of the world’s finest European and Japanese fabrics and trimmings.
From robust cloths for everyday wear to luxurious worsteds wools , flannels, linens and cashmeres, we guide you through the options and help you choose the fabric that best suits your purpose and personal style.
